Design Team Wednesday spotlights Bella Blvd!

Bella Blvd.'s Trick or Treat collection is beyond cute, inspiring, and colorful! The owl patterned paper caught my eye right from the rack...and then I felt as if I had been given a basket full of treats with all the other patterns and die cut shapes! My first layout really showcases the variety of pattern and color included in this collection. I made various sized strips and layered them to create a "starburst" like effect.

The title circle is included in the die cut shapes and I simply embellished it with silver and orange Stickles, sold at Scrapdoodles. The purple and orange twine add a little something special, along with dimension!

My second layout has a totally different look, yet includes patterns and die cut shapes from the same collection. The journal block is framed with varied strips of pattern paper and embellished with buttons and twine. The arrow was perfect to highlight the carving picture and was popped off the page using foam squares.

My final project is a Halloween card using the heart die cut shape. I just felt it was a perfect fit for a card and the twine was a great addition. The Stickles and gem accents can also be found at Scrapdoodles!

I hope these projects have you thinking about how you can use Bella Blvd.'s collection to showcase your Halloween photos! These layouts will be in the store in the next day or so!

Design Team Wednesday: Basic Grey Persimmon with Suzanna

Suzanna here to share with you today! With Fall right around the corner, what better way to show off your Halloween and Thanksgiving pictures than with Basic Grey's Persimmon collection?! This is my all time favorite Fall collection, I just love the non-traditional color palate and the patterns. The navy blue with the persimmon orange-y red are just perfect together!! I have two layouts to share with you; a 12x12 and an 8.5x11. One Halloween and one Thanksgiving.

First up, Halloween! After all, it is the first of the two holiday's to occur. One of the many fantastic things about Basic Grey these days are the waterfall packs; you get a little bit of everything! A few die cuts, some journaling spots of two different sizes (also perfect for Project Life!) and some letter stickers. This line has a matching waterfall pack that is the perfect compliment to the collection kit.

Boo! Don't be frightened by this little fellow peeking out from an Ikat layer!

Though the patterns from the Persimmon collection are very different, they are the perfect compliment for layering on your project.

I have this "thing" lately for using large pictures. That place setting card and the turkey die cut from the waterfall pack are the perfect embellishments for our Thanksgiving dinner. Between those embellies and the large picture, don't you feel like you're there, in the dining room with us?

The collection pack comes with letter stickers. I can't say I'm the biggest fan of the circle stickers... I always end up cutting them down and creating something better suited to my needs. So don't go looking for the navy blue rectangular letter stickers, there aren't any. The fussy cut triangle "bits" found at the top of this layout are remnants of the border strip at the bottom of the page. The various complimentary color mists and Distress paint splats add just the right touch of color to the white space at the top of this layout.

Be sure to stock up on Basic Grey's Persimmon at Scrapdoodles today! I guarantee you, there won't be much left, it's a hot ticket item! Think of the possibilities for Halloween pictures with older children who don't want all those cutesy ghosts and trick or treater's on their layouts! Timeless Thanksgiving greetings. I even think this collection would make amazing masculine cards... Hmmm... Off to explore some more possibilities!

Design Team Wednesday with Yvonne

Hello my Scrapdoodles friends,
Today I want to share a 5x7 mini-ablum I made using the exquisite Graphic 45 "Typography" collection! Seriously, I love this paper... and I know I say that about every G45 collection, but it's true, I love them all!  The quality is unmatched, the graphics are divine, and the themes are always an inspriation!  Thank goodness Scrapdoodles always has the latest collections to satisfy my Graphic 45 additiction!

Here is what I made:

Hope you can come on in and check out the papers and mini in person, pictures just don't truly relay the color and quality of Graphic 45 collections.

Thank you for stopping by my friends!
Have a Happy Scrappy Day!
Big Hugs,

Yvonne
