Operation Grateful Event this Saturday!

Join Us Saturday July 30th 10:30 am – 3:30 pm

Our crop room will be open for card making and a special “make and give”. Please donate your time & supplies to make cards for Heros. Some additional supplies will be provided by Scrapdoodles.

Completed cards must be received by July 30th.

We R Memory Keepers has joined forces with Operation Write Home to form Operation We R Grateful. Operation We R Grateful is an effort to give back to our nation's servicemen and women. They are collecting blank, homemade cards to send to deployed troops so that the troops can write home.

Scrapdoodles is proud to be a drop-zone for Operation We R Grateful!

We invite you to make cards for our nation's servicemen and women and drop them off to us by July 30th. We will mail them to We R Memory Keepers, who will ensure that the cards reach the troops.

Our classroom is open for you to make these cards anytime we do not have a class scheduled.

Echo Park Country Road Layout

Hi Everyone!

How many of you have been inspired by all the new great things popping up at CHA?? I don't get to attend but I love looking through all the pictures of the upcoming lines- especially from my favorite companies! Cheryl has been keeping us up to date with pictures and posts on our facebook page- I love it! The new Echo Park releases she posted yesterday inspired me to get out my Country Road goodies and scrap last night. Here is what I made:

I love the colors in this line! So bright and cheerful and easy to work with. I can't wait to see which lines Cheryl picked from Echo Park's new releases- hopefully all of them! :)

OK! Hope you have a great day and don't forget to check out Cheryl's pictures from CHA in the post just below this... I'm sure there are a few sneak peeks of what we'll be getting in over the next few months!

Design Team Wednesday

Happy Hump Day! A couple of projects to share today, including this page about our elderly friends naming a baby alpaca after our daughter. That might be the second strangest topic I have scrapped. Love this new Basic Grey line, though.

Products used: Basic Grey "Out of Print" patterned papers and brads, Tim Holtz Kraft Resist patterned paper, Pink Paislee wood alphas, October Afternoon alpha stickers, Glimmer Mist, Mister Huey's mist, Silhouette SD

I used to do many more 2-page layouts than single pagers, but I've gotten out of the habit. I've noticed some of the big design teams featuring two-page layouts recently and was inspired to finally scrap these pics of my daughter's 5th grade "graduation." (Click on it if you'd like to see it larger.)

Products used: Fancy Pants "It's the Little Things" patterned paper, journaling tag, buttons, October Afternoon alpha stickers, Doodlebug Design alpha stickers, Making Memories Slice, Silhouette SD

The new Brag Book from Fancy Pants was perfect for documenting a couple of trips to New York. I embellished the cover with a vintage map page that I spritzed with several different colors of mists, and the pockets and pages will eventually be filled with photos and memorabilia collected on our travels.
