Employee Favorite Product of the Week!

Hi everyone!

It is my turn for the product of the week and I am still on an Art Journal roll! I love the Dylusions Art Journal! It is a really nice size for creating your art work. It is a blank journal that features matte white heavy cardstock which is ideal for using stencils, water, ink, paints, mists and mediums. The journal cover is made from sturdy chipboard and can easily be decorated and painted to create your own unique journal. It travels back and forth with me to the store very easily.

Bird Cage Wall Hanging

Hello everybody!  Pat here. And I have another class coming up on April 7.  In this class, we will do many "layers"....a stencil for misting; a stencil for embossing paste; stamping; sprays; glitter; stickles; and fibers....WOW!  Talk about "mixed media"...it's so much fun. And you will walk out with a pretty wall hanging.  Supplies needed for this class are as follows:

• Basic tool kit...
• double-sided scotch tape
• regular scotch tape
• spatula
• 1/8 in score tape (or similar)
• glue runner
• hole punch (if you have one)

Some of you bought the bird cage stencil and the Donna Downey hexagon stencil...bring them if you have them...Of course I'll have mine as well...teehee....

We will be using silver embossing paste; American Crafts aqua fine glitter and silver fine glitter;aqua stickles; Art Anthology Glorious spray; Dylusions turquoise spray; pink liquid pearls; small bird stamps, archival black ink, plus 2 stencils.

Tim Holtz® Distress Stains™

Distress Stains are fluid water-based dyes for papers and other porous surfaces. Use for quick and easy ink coverage for backgrounds and larger areas. Mist with water to lighten color and create mottled effects. Apply layers of stain to achieve more saturated color. Available in the entire Distress color palette, including Metallic shades.

The brushed nylon dabber top has a built-in spring valve. This allows for controlling the release of Distress Stains from the bottle. By pressing the dabber top down onto surface, the valve opens and fluid releases. Lift dabber away from surface to stop fluid flow.
