Halloween is that time of year when children usually "let" you take their picture. Since this window of opportunity for parents is usually limited, it is a great time to collect those photos and create a mini album. A mini album makes a great coffee table book and everyone loves to flip through them.
Rumor has it, that when I was young, I used to shock my mother with - " Mom- I need a costume....for tomorrow." My mom would of course create something that was fabulous and complete it quickly. This mini album is quick, easy and inexpensive to create. Scrapdoodles has a great die cut center that includes mini album pages. There are tons of dies that can be used for layouts, embellishments and albums. Chipboard is available in black as well as the standard color, so I went with black. The Happy Haunting line from My Mind's Eye had the perfect stickers, papers and brads. The cover includes layering of stickers, brads and twine from The Twinery.
Creating the page first and then adhering to the album makes it so much easier when using brads.
The glitter border created a great frame around the pages and all the paper is double sided....bonus!
Select a button or two from the bulk buttons - a brad fit in there perfectly.
The adorable bat brad fit perfectly over the bat on the sticker element.
The 31 glitter portion was "fussy cut" from a paper and then adhered to the paper.
Hopefully you have some great family or pet pictures that you can spotlight in a
Halloween mini album.
