Authentique's line called "Curiousity" provided me with inspiration in a few differemt ways. An obvious choice was of course a school themed layout. I chose to scrapbook my son Reid's first day of Pre-K since the colors lend themselves to a little boy. I used the sticker accents to create banners beside his picture as well as the title "First Day of Preschool." In order to add a little dimension, I used pop dots to raise various elements of the layout.
Perhaps a little less conventional use of this paper is illustrated here in the layout of our beloved dog Cooper. I liked the play upon "measurement" using the patterned paper. For those who know our family, our love for Cooper is without a doubt beyond measure.
In the midst of school shopping, I noticed "lunch box notes" to place in your child's lunch box as a little something special from home. I decided this collection could provide the perfect look for homemade lunch box notes for my son. What a great way to use small scraps left from the previous layouts as well. I like to use every piece of a collection that I can!
Here is a closer look at one of the lunch box notes where I used Stickles to accentuate the strings of the guitar.
I hope these projects have provided you with some inspiration to get out there and do some scrappin'!
