Design Team Layouts
Hi Everyone, Lisa here to share my latest design team layouts. So, I started my design assignment last week... last minute as usual. But I'm so lucky I waited because I got to use some of the new "Blissful" line from Authentique. This paper is amazing... I cannot wait to get my hands on the other three lines!!! I'm so loving the color combo of yellow, grey and hot pink as in my "Just Be" layout. I used black accents and the whole thing just popped.
"Ruth" my second layout features a picture of my favorite aunt at around 1 1/2 years old. And also uses bits from the "Blissful" line accented with dijon metal. The argyle pattern on this paper was so fun I went crazy cutting diamonds. I love the clean look against the shimmery cardstock background. I did a couple more layouts using the line and I hope you'll stop by the shop and check them out.
And for my last layout... I changed it up a bit and used a line so fun and full of colors, that I used almost all the papers from the Fancy Pants collection "Beach Babes". What? Well, you'll see. I added tons of dimension to my page by creating a paper loop fringe. I love it...it's soooo girly. Don't you think?

Design Team Layouts and Project
Hi Scrapdoodles Friends! It's Karen here and I've got 3 very different projects to share with you today. The first layout is made with American Crafts new "Campy Trails" line. These papers are CUTE! The colors are wonderful and the patterns are so much fun. I really like the wood grain and the cute critters. We do not camp often, but these papers are great for all kinds of activities. My family has a long tradition of hunting. I came across this old photo of my husband's grandfather with a really nice buck. The "Campy Trails" papers really played on the outdoors theme. For this layout, I actually cut one 12x12 sheet, flipped it, and sewed it back together. I love double sided papers! More details about creating this layout, like how I made the circle journaling block, can be found on my blog, KarenScraps.
I picked up one more sheet of Campy Trails double sided paper and decided to go in a completely different direction just to show you that these papers aren't just for camping and outdoors photos. I had a few chipboard stars lying in my stash, so I used them as the base for this cute baby's door hanger.
The last layout I'm sharing with you was made with papers from Cosmo Cricket. I actually cut apart the colored circles from one sheet of patterned paper to create a grid on the base layer. Before adhering all my pieces, I used a couple of different distressing techniques on the background and various pieces. Some of the pieces are from a bunch of older CC pieces I had, but most of them are from the newer "Odds and Ends" line. You'll be able to find these in the store right now. If you want to see these layouts and project in person, stop by the store. While you're there, check out the American Crafts and Cosmo Cricket lines - they will make you say, "Yummy!"

Design Team
My Grandaughter enjoying a day at the pool. For this layout I used Webster's Pages and Pink Paislee.
Woo Hoo the sun is out, the heat temperature is up & I'm loving it! I'm from Texas! I have to love the warmer weather.I guess I would have been up a creek if I didn't.
This picture is my Mothers wedding picture taken in 1945. She joined her soon to be husband in South Carolina where they were married before he shipped out for Germany. It's probably one of my favorite pictures of her. I wanted to give it that vintage look because it was the 40's after all. I used old lace, broken vintage jewelry pieces. The paper I used was BasicGrey & Graphic 45.The flowers and stick pins I used were Prima,& maya road. The charm in the corner was by making memories. Behind the photo is an old doily I had. I distressed the edges with Tim Holtz walnut distessing ink. Because the photo itself was so light I tried to add color in the embellishments. Pretty paper & flowers for a pretty picture.

It's What's on the Inside that Counts!
Hello Everyone! Nikki here, and it is my turn to show you some of my latest projects.
Today's cards all feature a decorated "middle", which I often neglect. It's not that I mean to neglect them, it is just that I spend so much time on the outside that I just leave it at that. So my challenge to myself today was to do a little somethin' somethin' on the inside of all of my cards...
Today's cards all feature a decorated "middle", which I often neglect. It's not that I mean to neglect them, it is just that I spend so much time on the outside that I just leave it at that. So my challenge to myself today was to do a little somethin' somethin' on the inside of all of my cards...
My first card features an Imaginisce Snag 'Em stamp named Whale. I thought it would make the perfect baby boy card. I stamped the whale in brown on kraft cardstock and used my chalks to color him. Then I added a few accents using a white gel pen (my old trusty assistant), and added some Glossy Accents to the water spray for some extra dimension. (I also used the glossy accents to "glue" on the tiny yellow button).
For the inside I used some alphabet stamps from my personal stash to spell out "congratulations", and stamped only the spray from the whale stamp, which I covered in glossy accents for a little extra something.
Ingredients: Stamps: Imaginisce {Whale}, personal stash; DP: Making Memories: Dilly Dally {Glitter Scallop Stripe}, SEI: On the Coast {Barnacle}; Cardstock: Kraft, White; Copic: Y02; Ink: Memento: Rich Cocoa; Accessories: Chalks, White Gel Pen, Scallop Edge Punch, Twine, May Arts Ribbon, Buttons, Inkessentials Glossy Accents, American Crafts: Chipboard Letters.
My next card features a beautiful 2 stamp mini set by Unity and Webster's Pages. Since the image is so detailed, I decided to simply stamp it in black. The inside is also simple in that I only stamped one of the butterflies in the corner. I though this would make an excellent graduation card.
Ingredients: Stamps: unity and Webster's Pages {Dream Big}; Ink: Pallette {Noir Black}; Cardstock: Black, Kraft; Accessories: May Arts Ribbon.
My last card is very springy! I also thought this would make a nice graduation card. I love these colors, and when I saw the matching cardstock stickers and stamps by Jillibean Soup, I HAD to make something with them. Oh and to change things up a bit, I put the sentiment on the outside and the image on the inside.... what do you think? The butterflies on the outside are from one of my all time favorite Martha punches. On the inside, the butterfly is colored with Copics and the trail is hand doodled.
Ingredients: Stamps: Jillibean Soup: Blossom Soup; DP: Jillibean Soup: Blossom Soup {Half Pound Blossoms}; Cardstock: Red, White; Sentiment: Jillibean Soup: Cardstock Stickers {Blossom Soup}; Copics: YG63, R59, R46, R27, R83, RV63, RV13, YG21, YR04; Accessories: Black Gel Pen, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, mini glue dots.
