Opening Monday One Hour Late
Due to icy roads we will be opening one hour late on Monday, February 1, 2010.
Store Closed Sunday, January 31, 2010
We will be closed today, Sunday, January 31, 2010. Many of us are still waiting for the plow to come through our neighborhood. I also had a friend who was lucky enough to make it out of her neighborhood run by the store and she reported that the parking lot had not been plowed yet! I am sure the plow will be by this afternoon.
We will be open tomorrow. See you then!

Stay in your Jammies!
It's snowing! Our employees are staying home today due to the Winter Storm Warning. (We could see a foot of snow!) Plowing is not what it is in the midwest and they wanted to make sure they could make it home this afternoon. I even received a message from my neighborhood reccommending that I not go on the roads unless necessary. Is not scrapbooking supplies necessary??? Come in tomorrow (I hope) or Monday for sure for new product that has already arrived. New snow papers are recently in stock, so have fun and take pictures!

New Arrivals Part 2!
My Little Yellow Bicycle is fast becoming known for the huge number of very cool embellishments that accompany their paper lines, and Generation Z is no exception. The papers themselves all have metallic accents and are perfect for scrapping those "living on the edge" moments, and wait until you see the metal, fabric and chipboard embellishments that go with them. Click on any image to view larger.
Valentine's Day is fast approaching, and Reminisce's Valentine's Night line is just the ticket for creating those romantic cards and layouts. Photos don't do this line justice...the papers and stickers are glittery and foil-y and very elegant.
We also received three wonderfully retro new lines from Graphic 45, including fun miniature versions of each paper in 8 x 8 pads.

New arrivals!
If you're fortunate enough to own a Silhouette, you already know what a versatile creative tool it is. If you don't own one you might be under the misapprehension that the Silhouette is just a diecut machine, but it is so much more. We just received the Rhinestone Starter Kit, which allows you to create templates that can be used to apply rhinestones to fabric or paper. The kit includes 2 sheets of rhinestone template material, 2 backing boards and 2 sheets of transfer tape, positioning brush, acrylic work tray, 10ss clear rhinestones, and bonus CD of exclusive rhinestone templates. You can see how it works here: http://www.silhouettemachine.com/files/instructionInsert.pdf.
Just in time for our next burst of winter weather, we've received beautiful winter lines from Bo Bunny and Fancy Pants.

Color of the Year
The color experts at Pantone have declared TURQUOISE the official color of 2010.
Like the fashion world, scrapbook products closely follow color trends, and rumor has it that turquoise will be prominently featured in lines soon to be unveiled at CHA-Winter. What else can we expect? Experts say that navy blue will replace brown as the go-to neutral, and we will see lots of lavender, candy pink, and lemon yellow, along with rich, vibrant reds.
Sounds like fun, and I can't wait to start seeing some sneak peeks!
Edited to add: Ooh, I just caught a peek at one of Crate Paper's new lines that is turquoise and lemon yellow! So pretty!
