January Card Creations Class

I know everyone is busy getting ready for Christmas (how did it sneak up on me so fast!) but I thought I'd post about my class in January! Hopefully by then you'll be rested and ready to craft again!!

We will be making some great cards for Valentine's day! We'll be practicing some great techniques including basic stamping, heat embossing (with flavored embossing powder even!) and working with chipboard. We'll also learn some great ways to add texture to your cards. Here are the samples:

The class will be held on Saturday, January 17th, 2009. Class starts at 1:30pm and costs $16.00. Please bring your basic supplies (adhesive, trimmer, scissors, pencil) with you to class. Call the store at 540-548-3788 to sign up!

Blog Contest

I'm going to switch it up a little bit! Since our shipments are slowing down a little with inventory & the Trade Show next month I won't have as much to post about new product. I am going to try to make sure that we have lot's more new and creative ideas to post. So...with that said, send me a scrapping technique and if I post it I will put your name in a drawing for a Pink Paislee Pixie Stick (I absolutely love their glitter!) Name will be announced next week Wednesday.

New Fancy Pants!

They are already flying out the door. Speaking of which, we completely sold through October Afternoon's Good Cheer. I usually do not reorder the trendy or holiday lines, since we always need to keep making room for more new lines, but since we sold out in two days I did place a reorder for the papers in Good Cheer. October Afternoon said they would be here after Thanksgiving.

I've been blog surfing again and I found Claudine Helmuth's blog and this really great video about beginning color mixing techniques with her beautiful Studio Paints. We have them all in stock as of this moment. Can't promise how long that will last now that you will see how cool her paints and gel mediums are!
